My cycling club uses Yew Tree Farm as a place to stop and have refreshments at The Cowshed Cafe. Great place with a really friendly atmosphere and plenty of places to explore. The food and drink is top quality as well by the way.Read More
A Stunning Rural Location …
Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village is located in Wootton Wawen in the heart of Warwickshire in a stunning rural location in between the historic towns of Stratford-Upon-Avon and Henely-in-Arden.
With the Wotton Wawen Aqueduct, (SP1562) running through the heart of the village the navigation canal boat stop is a very busy location throughout the year with people on boating holidays.
The A3400 also passes straight through this stunning rural setting making the Yew Tree Site a very popular stop-off for cyclists and walkers alike.
The Bulls Head Pub lies at the other end of the village and offers a perfect setting and meeting point to enjoy socialising and fine food with friends and family.
The Saxon Sanctuary …
This is Warwickshire’s oldest church complete with ancient graveyard and stunning stained glass windows.
It’s ancient tower dates back to the 900’s if not earlier.
Open to the public all year round it’s history is fascinating making it well worth a visit.
A full exhibition is available for free inside the church.
Wootton Wawen itself …
The strangely named rural village has a fascinating and quirky history to it.
With rivers changing course, roads and ponds appearing and disappearing and the Saxon monastery being succeeded by the Norman Priory it’s an ancient soap opera all of its own.
A full presentation around the history is available at The Saxon Sanctuary in the centre of the village.Read More
